Epstein served as a consultant and was reportedly actively involved in developing the company’s financial strategies. Hoffenberg later claimed Epstein was a co-architect of the fraud, though Epstein was never charged in connection with Towers Financial.
Hoffenberg was convicted in 1997 and sentenced to 20 years in prison. Epstein’s non-prosecution despite Hoffenberg’s allegations remains one of the least-documented and most questioned aspects of his early financial biography.
