The distinctive blue and gold striped building on the hill of Little Saint James — variously described as a music pavilion, a bath house, or a temple — is completed. The structure, visible from satellite imagery, would later become one of the most discussed elements of Epstein's island property and fuel numerous theories about its purpose.
