MCC Guards Were Asleep When Epstein Found Unresponsive

Federal investigators determine that both correctional officers assigned to monitor Jeffrey Epstein's cell were asleep for approximately three hours before he was found unresponsive. The guards had been working overtime shifts and falsified log entries showing they had checked on Epstein every 30 minutes as required.
