Alan Dershowitz, the prominent Harvard Law professor and Epstein defense attorney, was never criminally charged in connection with the Epstein case.
The allegations against him: Virginia Giuffre alleged in her 2014 civil suit against Ghislaine Maxwell (and in related filings) that she had been directed to have sex with Dershowitz on multiple occasions at Epstein’s properties. Dershowitz has vigorously and consistently denied these allegations, calling them false and defamatory.
The legal battle: Dershowitz filed defamation suits against Giuffre’s attorneys (David Boies and Sigrid McCawley) and against Giuffre herself. These suits were extensively litigated.
