The 2019 Cooperation Possibility
Following his July 2019 arrest, legal analysts noted that SDNY would likely seek cooperation from Epstein information about his network in exchange for sentencing consideration. Cooperation would have been extraordinarily valuable given the identities his testimony could implicate.
No Known Agreement
There is no public record of any cooperation agreement between Epstein and the SDNY. His attorneys were presumably in early discussions, but his death on August 10, 2019 just 34 days after arrest ended any such possibility.
The Timing Question
