The “Lolita Express” was a nickname given by the media to Jeffrey Epstein’s private Boeing 727-200 aircraft, tail number N908JE. The name was coined in a 2007 article and refers to the documented pattern of transporting underage girls on the aircraft.
The Aircraft: Epstein owned several aircraft including the 727 and a smaller Gulfstream. The Boeing 727 could carry dozens of passengers and was used for long-haul international flights.
The Flight Logs: Detailed flight logs subpoenaed in civil litigation documented hundreds of flights over many years. The logs listed passengers by name, including notable figures across politics, entertainment, science, and finance.
Who Flew: The logs showed flights taken by Bill Clinton (on multiple occasions, without Secret Service according to Clinton’s spokesperson), Prince Andrew, Kevin Spacey, Naomi Campbell, Alan Dershowitz, and many others. Many of these individuals stated their flights were unrelated to Epstein’s criminal activities.
Why It Matters: For victims, the aircraft was a key element of how Epstein transported victims across state and international lines a federal crime. The logs remained sealed for years and their unsealing was a landmark event in accountability proceedings.
The logs were among the documents unsealed by Judge Loretta Preska in 2023-2024.
