Ghislaine Maxwell: Maxwell is serving her 20-year federal sentence at FCI Tallahassee in Florida. Her appeal of her conviction to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals was denied. A further petition to the Supreme Court was filed but not expected to succeed. Her earliest release date, with good behavior credit, is estimated in the mid-2030s.
Civil litigation: Civil lawsuits against various parties connected to the Epstein network — including cases against some of the estates and institutions — remain in various stages. The EVCP officially closed its claims process, but post-closing disputes continue in some jurisdictions.
USVI settlement: The U.S. Virgin Islands’ $105 million settlement with the Epstein estate was finalized, but implementation and fund distribution continued into 2025-2026.
