Epstein’s black book contained contact information for a range of wealthy international figures. Some individuals from Russia or with Russian connections appeared in his social orbit at events he attended. However, social contact documented in an address book does not establish an operational connection.

Some theories about Epstein’s intelligence connections involve Israeli intelligence specifically (Mossad), and the question of whether any Russian FSB or GRU interest in compromising Western elites intersected with Epstein’s operation has been raised by intelligence analysts and journalists.
