Jeffrey Epstein had documented connections to Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East, though the full extent of these relationships remains unclear.
The Fake Passport
When FBI agents searched Epstein’s Manhattan mansion in July 2019, they discovered an Austrian passport identifying Epstein under his real name but listing a Saudi Arabian address. The passport appeared genuine in its official issuance but contained potentially false information.
The discovery fueled speculation about:
- Saudi business connections or clients
- Possible use of Saudi connections for discreet travel
- Intelligence agency connections (Saudi intelligence uses unofficial passports)
Adnan Khashoggi Connection
Epstein maintained a relationship with Adnan Khashoggi, the Saudi arms dealer and financier. Khashoggi had been involved in the Iran-Contra affair and was a major figure in international arms dealing. The nature of their relationship whether personal, financial, or operational was never fully established.
The Fake Passport Nationality
The passport was Austrian (not Saudi), but the listed Saudi address suggested Epstein maintained some form of presence or address in Saudi Arabia perhaps for business, discreet travel, or client meetings.
Broader Middle East Ties
Epstein’s black book contained contacts throughout the Middle East. His connections to Ehud Barak (former Israeli PM) also gave him indirect access to regional intelligence and political networks.
