Was there evidence of male co-conspirators in Epstein’s network beyond Brunel?

Multiple victims have named male individuals — beyond Jean-Luc Brunel — who allegedly participated in or facilitated Epstein’s abuse network, and investigators gathered evidence relating to several such figures. However, prosecutions of male co-conspirators have been extremely limited.
Virginia Giuffre and other survivors named specific men in civil filings and victim statements, alleging sexual abuse at the direction of Epstein and Maxwell. These names generated major public controversy, litigation, and in some cases denials under oath.
The male figures most prominently named in civil proceedings include:
- Prince Andrew (Duke of York): Named by Giuffre; reached a settlement in 2022 without admission of wrongdoing
- Alan Dershowitz: Named by Giuffre; denied all allegations and engaged in extensive counter-litigation; Giuffre subsequently dropped claims against him
- Various “John Does”: The 2024 unsealing of Giuffre v. Maxwell documents contained references to dozens of men identified in discovery proceedings
The gender asymmetry in prosecutions is striking. Maxwell was the only member of Epstein’s inner circle who was convicted and imprisoned. Female co-conspirators including Sarah Kellen and Nadia Marcinkova received derivative immunity under the 2008 NPA. Male associates, with the exception of Brunel (who died before trial), largely escaped criminal accountability.
Critics have pointed to this gap as reflecting both the difficulties of prosecuting powerful men and the structural tendency of trafficking prosecutions to focus on women as facilitators rather than men as beneficiaries.
