Ghislaine Maxwell faced a total of six federal counts when her case went to trial in November 2021, drawn from two separate indictments filed in 2020 and 2021.

The charges covered activities alleged to have taken place between 1994 and 2004.
The Verdict (December 29, 2021)
The jury found Maxwell guilty on five of the six counts:
- ✅ Guilty: Counts 1, 3, 4, 5, 6
- ❌ Not guilty: Count 2 (enticement of a minor to travel)
The Sentence (June 28, 2022)
Judge Alison Nathan sentenced Maxwell to 20 years in federal prison plus a $750,000 fine. The sentence was at the low end of the guidelines range.
Maxwell remains incarcerated at FCI Tallahassee in Florida. Her appeals have been denied. Her release date, accounting for good behavior credits, is projected to be in 2037.
