What was Little Saint James Island sold for?

Little Saint James Island Jeffrey Epstein’s private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands, colloquially known as “Pedophile Island” was sold as part of the settlement between the Epstein estate and the USVI government.

The island was listed for sale at approximately ** million** in 2022. The sale proceeds were directed toward the U.S. Virgin Islands Victims’ Compensation Program (VCP) as required under the November 2022 settlement.

The island is approximately 78 acres, situated near St. Thomas in the USVI. Epstein purchased it in 1998 for approximately .95 million and developed it extensively over the following two decades, constructing multiple structures, an airstrip, and (according to some accounts) underground spaces.

In 2021, the estate demolished many of the structures that had been photographed and speculated about. The island was then listed for sale and ultimately sold with the proceeds benefiting USVI-based victims.

Epstein also owned a second nearby island, Great Saint James, which was purchased in 2016 for roughly .5 million and was also part of the estate’s disposition process.
