What was Epstein's relationship with MIT Media Lab?

Jeffrey Epstein donated approximately ,000 to the MIT Media Lab between 2013 and 2017after his 2008 conviction. Internal MIT documents revealed by the New Yorker’s Ronan Farrow in September 2019 showed that media lab director Joi Ito knew Epstein’s identity and personally directed that donations be handled to conceal Epstein as the source. Internal communications showed use of phrases like “anonymous” and “discreet.” Following the publication, Ito resigned as Media Lab director.
