Annie Farmer’s Background
Annie Farmer was a student who was introduced to Epstein through her older sister Katy Farmer, who had introduced herself to Epstein. In 1996, when Annie was 16, she visited Epstein’s New Mexico ranch.
What She Testified
Farmer testified at the Maxwell trial that during her New Mexico visit, Ghislaine Maxwell massaged her scalp and touched her breasts unwanted sexual contact. She also described Epstein’s inappropriate behavior.
The Decision to Use Her Name
Unlike the other three survivor witnesses who used pseudonyms, Annie Farmer chose to testify under her real name. She stated this was a deliberate choice to stand publicly against the abuse and normalize survivors speaking publicly.
Prior Advocacy
Long before the trial, Farmer had spoken publicly about her experience. She was one of the early voices connecting Epstein to the research world and to New Mexico.
Her Significance
