Darren Indyke: Epstein’s Attorney and Estate Executor
Darren Indyke was a New York attorney who served as one of Jeffrey Epstein’s key legal advisers for many years. When Epstein signed his will on August 8, 2019, he named Indyke as co-executor alongside accountant Richard Kahn.
Role During Epstein’s Life
Indyke handled a wide range of legal matters for Epstein, including:
- Real estate transactions
- Corporate filings for Epstein’s numerous shell companies
- Offshore trust administration
- Work related to Epstein’s Virgin Islands operations
He was a trusted insider with knowledge of Epstein’s complex financial architecture.
Role After Epstein’s Death
As executor, Indyke was responsible for administering the million estate. His duties included:
- Filing the will in the U.S. Virgin Islands (where Epstein claimed domicile)
- Managing the estate’s assets during litigation
- Overseeing the Epstein Victims’ Compensation Program established in 2020
- Responding to lawsuits from the USVI attorney general
Scrutiny and Legal Challenges
Victim advocates questioned whether executors with longstanding ties to Epstein could fairly administer a compensation program for his victims. However, the program, run by independent administrator Jordana Feldman, was considered reasonably well-run and paid out over million to 135+ claimants.
