Paul Cassell is a University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law professor and former federal district judge who co-filed the CVRA challenge to Epstein’s 2008 NPA alongside attorney Brad Edwards. Cassell is a leading expert on victims’ rights law and has published extensively on the CVRA. He has represented Epstein victims pro bono in multiple proceedings. His work on the case contributed to Judge Marra’s 2019 ruling that the government violated the CVRA when it failed to notify victims before entering the NPA.
