Who is Sarah Ransome and what is her connection to Epstein?

Background

How She Met Epstein

Ransome was introduced to Epstein’s network around 2006 through Jeffrey Epstein’s social circle. She has described being brought to Little Saint James and abused repeatedly beginning around that time.

Escape Attempts

Ransome has described attempting to escape from Little Saint James and being returned. She has detailed the coercive elements of the island environment including the geographythe island’s isolation making escape extremely difficult.

Ransome filed a civil lawsuit against Epstein and Maxwell. She has been a participant in Maxwell-related proceedings and testified that Maxwell was present and actively participated in her abuse.

Advocacy

Ransome has become one of the most publicly active survivor advocates. She:

  • Published a memoir, “Silenced No More,” detailing her experiences
  • Gave media interviews and courtroom statements
  • Testified in the Maxwell case
  • Advocates for strengthened sex trafficking legislation and victim support

Significance

Ransome’s case is significant for several reasons: she was an adult (not a minor) when trafficked, illustrating that Epstein’s operation was not exclusively focused on minors; she was international, showing the global reach of the network; and she has been unusually comprehensive and public in her testimony.
