In Detail
Manhattan Townhouse (9 East 71st Street)
The nine-story, 21,000-square-foot Upper East Side townhouse was listed and sold by the estate. In 2022, it was sold to Michael Daffey, a Goldman Sachs executive, for approximately $51 million. The property was one of the largest private homes in Manhattan and had been renovated extensively during Epstein’s ownership.
Palm Beach Mansion
Epstein’s Palm Beach residence at 358 El Brillo Way was sold in 2021. The buyer, a real estate developer, subsequently demolished the structure. The demolition was seen by many as removing a physical reminder of the abuse that occurred there and as preparation for new construction on the valuable oceanfront lot.
Paris Apartment
Epstein maintained a large apartment in Paris’s Hotel de Charolais, a historic mansion. The French property was part of the estate administration, and its ultimate disposition was subject to both US estate proceedings and French legal processes.
USVI Islands
Little Saint James was sold in 2024. Great Saint James was transferred to the USVI government as part of the 2022 settlement.
Zorro Ranch (New Mexico)
The approximately 10,000-acre ranch in Stanley, New Mexico, where some victims alleged abuse occurred, was listed for sale as part of the estate wind-down. It had been associated with Epstein’s alleged interest in transhumanist and genetic projects.
