Documents Unsealed So Far
The January 2024 unsealing of Giuffre v. Maxwell documents was significant, but it was not the only relevant document set. Additional proceedings have produced or may produce further releases.
The Remaining Sealed Materials
Categories of documents that remain fully or partially sealed include:
- The NPA co-conspirators schedule (has never been made public)
- Some documents from ongoing or concluded civil proceedings
- Investigative materials from the 2019 SDNY case file
- FBI investigative records
The NPA Schedule
The schedule of named co-conspirators in the 2008 NPA is the single most sought document in the Epstein universe. If it names public figures, its release would create enormous consequences. Courts have so far not ordered its release.
The Congressional Angle
Congressional investigations and oversight hearings could theoretically compel production of materials from the DOJ or BOP that are not subject to civil discovery.
The Assessment
Further document releases are likely in the ongoing civil litigation and potential future proceedings. The NPA schedule is the key unknown. Release depends on court orders that have so far not been granted.
