Zorro Ranch, New Mexico

Epstein's sprawling private ranch in New Mexico, over 8,000 acres an isolated property used for private gatherings and, according to testimony, criminal activity.

Property Overview

Zorro Ranch is a sprawling private ranch of over 8,000 acres (approximately 32 km) located near the town of Stanley in New Mexico. Epstein purchased it around 19931995.

The property includes:

  • A main mansion of approximately 26,000 sq ft
  • Several outbuildings
  • A private airstrip for small aircraft
  • A farm with livestock
  • Hunting grounds

Stated Purpose

Epstein publicly described Zorro Ranch as a base for scientific research projects, including so-called “transhumanist” projects in which he reportedly wanted to “seed the human race” with his genetic material according to a New York Times report.

Victim Testimony

Several victims in court depositions mentioned Zorro Ranch as a location where they were transported for “massage sessions” and sexual exploitation. The ranch’s isolation made it convenient for criminal activity without witnesses.

Genetic “Project”

The New York Times reported in 2019 that Epstein shared “transhumanist fantasies” with acquaintances in the scientific community, including a desire to “seed the human race” with his DNA using Zorro Ranch as a base. However, any real implementation of these ideas is undocumented.

Sale (2022)

After Epstein’s death, the ranch was managed by his estate and put up for sale. It was purchased in 2022, with proceeds directed to victim compensation funds.
