Epstein and the Clinton Foundation: What the Flight Logs Show

Bill Clinton is among the figures most frequently associated with Jeffrey Epstein in public discussion, though the actual documented connection is narrower and more specific than popular accounts often suggest. A careful review of available records distinguishes what is documented from what is asserted.

What Flight Logs Document

Available flight logs from Epstein’s aircraft — particularly the Boeing 727 documented in civil litigation — record Bill Clinton as a passenger on at least 26 flights between 2002 and 2003. These logs were obtained through civil litigation and widely reported by Fox News, the Daily Mail, and other outlets around 2016–2019.

The vast majority of these flights are connected to the Clinton Foundation’s global health initiative work in Africa, specifically travel related to HIV/AIDS treatment programs in sub-Saharan Africa. Using Epstein’s aircraft for these trips was a use of donor resources that was, at the time, fairly common practice for Clinton Foundation operations — large donors’ aircraft were routinely used for foundation travel.

Clinton’s office confirmed the Africa-related flights, acknowledged the use of Epstein’s aircraft, and stated that Clinton had never been to Little Saint James and had no knowledge of Epstein’s crimes.

Virgin Islands Visits

Of the documented flights or travel records, two visits to Little Saint James have been acknowledged by Clinton’s office — described as brief stops connected to Clinton Foundation activities in the USVI region. Clinton’s office has consistently stated he was not alone with Epstein on these trips and that no criminal conduct was observed.

What Is Not Documented

There is no documented evidence that:

• Clinton participated in or had knowledge of Epstein’s trafficking operation
• Clinton was present at any of Epstein’s properties during trafficking activity
• Clinton received any personal benefit from Epstein beyond the use of his aircraft for foundation travel

Virginia Giuffre’s accounts, while they named multiple other prominent men, did not include Clinton among those alleged to have abused her.

Clinton’s Response

Clinton’s office has issued multiple statements in 2019 and subsequently maintaining that Clinton knew Epstein “only as part of a group of friends” and used his aircraft for foundation travel. Clinton has denied any wrongdoing.

The Significance of What Is Documented

The documented relationship — flight log evidence of repeated travel on Epstein’s aircraft — demonstrates closer social proximity than a casual acquaintance. Using a donor’s private aircraft repeatedly for foundation travel reflects a degree of comfort with that donor that goes beyond formal philanthropic interaction. This level of familiarity with someone who was convicted of sex crimes in 2008 — after which Clinton reportedly distanced himself — raises legitimate questions that Clinton has not been required to answer under oath.

Whether this documented proximity rises to complicity in any criminal conduct is a separate question for which no evidence has been presented.

The Clinton-Epstein connection is frequently amplified in partisan media beyond what the evidence supports and simultaneously frequently minimized in other coverage. Neither approach serves accurate analysis. The documented facts show a real, multi-year social and logistical relationship; they do not establish criminal conduct or knowledge of trafficking.
