Columbia in Epstein’s Academic Network
Columbia University was one of several major New York academic institutions with which Jeffrey Epstein had documented connections. As with other universities, Epstein used the promise of donations and his identity as an elite patron of science to access faculty and administrators.

Epstein’s network included individuals connected to Columbia across multiple departments. His interest in cognitive science, physics, and evolutionary biology meant he sought out faculty in these fields regardless of institutional affiliation.

In New York, Epstein cultivated connections across the major universities Columbia, NYU, Rockefeller University, and others as well as connections at Rockefeller University through Robert Gallo and others in the life sciences.
Limited Documentation
Documentation of Epstein’s Columbia-specific connections is less extensive than for Harvard or MIT, which were his primary targets. Columbia did not receive documented large-scale donations from Epstein comparable to those flowing to Harvard or MIT.
