The Defense Attorney Relationship
Alan Dershowitz, the prominent Harvard Law professor and attorney, was a member of Epstein’s legal defense team during the negotiation of the 2008 Non-Prosecution Agreement in Florida. Dershowitz acknowledged his role in those negotiations.
The Giuffre Allegations
Virginia Giuffre accused Dershowitz of being among those she was directed to sexually service. Dershowitz vigorously denied these allegations and filed defamation lawsuits. In 2023, Giuffre issued a retraction statement regarding Dershowitz, saying she may have made a mistake.
The 2024 Unsealing
Documents from the 2024 Ghislaine Maxwell civil deposition unsealing included references to Dershowitz. He maintained that the documents confirmed his innocence.
