Estate at Death
When Epstein died in August 2019, his estate was initially valued at approximately $630 million, including: real property (Manhattan townhouse, Palm Beach mansion, Little Saint James, Zorro Ranch, Paris apartment), cash, financial interests, art, aircraft, and vehicles.
Victim Compensation Program
The Epstein Victims Compensation Program processed over 150 claims with total payments exceeding $300 million. Claimants waived civil litigation rights in exchange for compensation.
Civil Settlements
Estate assets also funded settlements with the USVI government. The JPMorgan ($290M) and Deutsche Bank ($75M) settlements were paid by the banks directly, not from the estate.
Ongoing Proceedings
As of 2025, estate proceedings remain active in the USVI probate system, with continued litigation over remaining asset distribution.
