Little Saint James: The Private Island
Little Saint James is a 75-acre private island owned by Jeffrey Epstein from 1998 until his death in 2019. The island served as his primary residence and, according to victims and prosecutors, a central location for the trafficking and abuse of minors.
How Visitors Were Documented
Visitor records come from several sources:
- Private aircraft flight logs (N908JE and other tail numbers)
- Depositions in civil cases (Giuffre v. Maxwell, others)
- Victim testimony in criminal proceedings
- USVI government investigation records
Notable Confirmed Visitors
Flight logs, depositions, and court records confirm visits by numerous prominent individuals. Presence on island does not constitute evidence of criminal activity unless separately established by courts.
Among those documented via flights or depositions:
- Bill Clinton (confirmed via flight logs — White House stated 4 trips on Epstein plane overall)
- Prince Andrew (confirmed via testimony and photos)
- Alan Dershowitz (confirmed via logs, denied wrongdoing)
- Jean-Luc Brunel (confirmed, later arrested in France)
- Various scientists, business figures, politicians
USVI Investigation
The government of the US Virgin Islands sued Epstein’s estate in 2020, alleging sex trafficking occurred on both Little Saint James and Great Saint James. The suit settled for $105 million in 2022, the largest settlement in USVI history.
Current Status
Little Saint James was sold at auction in 2024 as part of the estate liquidation. The sale proceeds go toward the Epstein Victims’ Compensation Fund.
