Aircraft
Epstein owned multiple private aircraft, including two Boeing 727s — large commercial-scale jets that could transport dozens of passengers. His primary aircraft, widely referred to as the “Lolita Express” in media shorthand, was a Boeing 727-200 with tail number N908JE, later registered as N120JE. Flight logs subpoenaed in civil litigation documented hundreds of flights to Epstein’s properties and international destinations over two decades. He also maintained smaller executive jets and a helicopter for shorter trips.

At his death, Epstein owned or held interests in:
- The Manhattan townhouse at 9 East 71st Street — one of New York’s largest private residences, reportedly 40,000 square feet
- Little Saint James, a private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands
- Great Saint James, an adjacent island purchased in 2016
- Zorro Ranch, a 10,000-acre estate in Stanley, New Mexico
- A Paris apartment on Avenue Foch
- The Palm Beach mansion at 358 El Brillo Way
Yacht and Vehicles
Epstein maintained a large yacht — reportedly a vessel named the Lady Ghislaine — and a fleet of luxury automobiles. The yacht was associated with Ghislaine Maxwell, whose father Robert Maxwell had owned a previous vessel by the same name.
Art and Exotica
His properties were decorated with unusual and reportedly disturbing artwork. Investigators who searched the Manhattan townhouse in 2019 reported finding a painting depicting former President Bill Clinton in a blue dress. Scientific and anatomical models, photographs of guests, and an extensive library were also documented. The ranch in New Mexico reportedly housed exotic animals.
Staff
Epstein employed a large household staff across all properties: housekeepers, cooks, pilots, drivers, a personal assistant (Lesley Groff), and various property managers. The hiring, management, and maintenance of this staff was an element of Ghislaine Maxwell’s responsibilities within the operation.
