MC2 Model Management
MC2 Model Management was co-founded and reportedly co-funded by Epstein and Jean-Luc Brunel. Investigators allege it served as both a legitimate modeling agency and a vehicle for identifying and recruiting young women for Epstein’s network.
Jean-Luc Brunel
Brunel was a French modeling scout with a career going back to the 1970s and documented complaints of sexual misconduct since the 1980s. He was named in Giuffre’s civil filings and in the Maxwell trial. He was arrested in France in December 2020 on rape and sexual assault charges. He was found dead in his Paris prison cell in February 2022; French authorities ruled it a suicide.
The Recruitment Mechanism
Young women were approached with modeling opportunities or direct payment promises. The agency framing provided apparent legitimacy. Women were brought to Epstein properties for alleged testing or networking, where physical contact was introduced under massage cover, leading to ongoing trafficking involvement.
International Scope
This cross-border recruitment — particularly bringing foreign nationals to the U.S. — established the federal trafficking jurisdiction ultimately used to convict Maxwell.
