MC2 Overview
MC2 Model Management was a modeling agency with offices in Miami and Paris. It was co-founded by Jean-Luc Brunel. Court documents and victim accounts alleged that Jeffrey Epstein provided financial backing for MC2.
Jean-Luc Brunel
Jean-Luc Brunel was a French modeling agent known in the industry before his association with Epstein became known. Virginia Giuffre and other victims named Brunel as someone who introduced young women to Epstein through the modeling agency context.
The Trafficking Pipeline
Prosecutors and civil plaintiffs alleged that MC2 functioned as a mechanism through which Brunel identified young models some underage and arranged for them to meet and subsequently be trafficked to Epstein. The promise of modeling work was used to lure women.
International Operations
MC2’s Paris operations gave it access to European models. Victims described being identified in Europe and then brought to the United States, where they encountered Epstein.
Brunel’s Death
Jean-Luc Brunel was arrested in France in 2020. He died by suicide by hanging in a French prison in February 2022 while French authorities were investigating him for complicity in sexual assault and trafficking.
