Ghislaine Maxwell’s father, Robert Maxwell, died in 1991 and was subsequently reported by multiple sources including former intelligence officials to have had connections to Israeli intelligence. If Robert Maxwell was an asset, the theory goes, Ghislaine may have been similarly connected.
Ari Ben-Menashe
The most prominent named source for both Robert Maxwell’s and Epstein’s intelligence connections is Ari Ben-Menashe, a former Israeli intelligence officer. Ben-Menashe has made various claims over the years; he is a controversial figure whose claims are not independently verified.
Evidence Assessment
The circumstantial evidence is non-trivial: unexplained wealth, extraordinary political protection, behavior consistent with kompromat-gathering, international access. But there is no documentary proof of an intelligence relationship.
