The Wexner Transfer
The property was purchased by Les Wexner in 1989. In 1996, Wexner transferred the property to Epstein the transfer deed showed a transaction price of , meaning no consideration was exchanged. This extraordinary gift was one of the most discussed elements of the Wexner-Epstein financial relationship.
Interior Features
Victim accounts and law enforcement searches described an extraordinary interior with elaborate decor, extensive security and surveillance systems, and rooms apparently fitted for sexual encounters. Search warrants executed in 2019 found hard drives and compact discs with photographic evidence.
Activities at the Mansion
Victims described being brought to the townhouse, often by Ghislaine Maxwell. The townhouse was a primary location for the massage-room encounters described by most victims.
Post-Arrest Sale
After Epstein’s death in 2019, the townhouse was sold by his estate. It sold for approximately million.
