Giuffre’s Account
Virginia Giuffre has stated in sworn legal filings that she was trafficked to Prince Andrew (then Prince Andrew, Duke of York) on three occasions in 2001:
- At the London home of Ghislaine Maxwell
- At Epstein’s New York townhouse
- At Little Saint James in the U.S. Virgin Islands
Andrew’s Denial
Prince Andrew has denied all allegations. His November 2019 BBC Newsnight interviewin which he offered an alibi involving a Pizza Express restaurant and claimed he could not sweat at the timewas widely criticized as damaging to his credibility and to the Royal Family.
The Settlement
In January 2022, Prince Andrew settled Giuffre’s civil lawsuit prior to trial. The settlement amount has not been disclosed, but reports suggest it was in the range of several million pounds. Andrew did not admit liability.
The Royal Fallout
Following the settlement, Andrew was stripped of his royal patronages and military titles by King Charles III. He ceased performing public royal duties.
