Epstein held investments across several sectors, including:
- Technology companies, particularly those with biotech or neuroscience applications funded through his connections to researchers
- Carbyne911, an Israeli emergency response technology company, in which Ehud Barak was a co-investor
- Various venture-stage companies introduced through his scientific network
The Opacity Problem
Unlike a licensed investment advisor or fund manager, Epstein operated without the public disclosure requirements that would make his portfolio legible. His Financial Trust Company and J. Epstein & Co. entities were not registered in ways that would require full disclosure.
What Remained After Death
