Impact on Gates’s Personal Life
Reports in The New York Times in 2021 indicated that Gates’s then-wife Melinda French Gates had been uncomfortable with the Epstein relationship and that her concerns about it were among the factors she considered in her decision to ultimately file for divorce from Gates in 2021. French Gates allegedly met Epstein once and was disturbed by the encounter.
