Epstein Estate Victim Compensation Fund
Following Epstein’s death, his estate established a Victim Compensation Program. The program paid claims from victims who could document abuse connected to Epstein. Individual amounts are confidential, but the fund paid out tens of millions of dollars to hundreds of claimants.
JPMorgan Settlement
In 2023, JPMorgan reached a million settlement with Epstein victims in a class action. This followed the bank’s separate million settlement with the USVI. The victim settlement resolved claims that JPMorgan had facilitated Epstein’s trafficking through its banking services.
Deutsche Bank Settlement
Deutsche Bank settled claims for approximately million. Deutsche Bank had provided banking services to Epstein from approximately 2013 to 2018, after JPMorgan exited the relationship.
Individual Civil Settlements
Beyond the class actions and institution settlements, many individual victims reached separate civil settlements including Virginia Giuffre’s settlement with Prince Andrew (undisclosed amount).
Total Compensation
When all known settlements are combined, the total compensation flowing to Epstein victims runs to several hundred million dollars significant acknowledgment of institutional failures.
