The apartment at 22 Avenue Foch sits on one of Paris’s most prestigious streets, known as a home to Francophone and international elite. Epstein acquired it in the early 2000s.
The property occupied multiple floors of a private building overlooking the Bois de Boulogne. It was known as a venue where Epstein entertained French business partners and academics.
French Investigation
French prosecutors opened their own investigation into Epstein and those who used the Paris apartment. Jean-Luc Brunel a French modeling agency manager and Epstein associate was arrested in France in 2020.
Brunel died in custody (officially ruled a suicide) in 2022, before the investigation concluded.
Connection to Ghislaine Maxwell
Ghislaine Maxwell herself a French citizen (born in France) was frequently present at the Paris apartment and served as an intermediary between Epstein and the French establishment.
Post-Death Actions
After Epstein’s death, the Paris apartment was included among assets to be liquidated for victim compensation. French police conducted searches and seized documents related to the investigation.
